OneThing About OneNote, Part 5 – Link Tasks in Outlook

OneNote and Outlook work together to make your life easier. Whatever you flag in OneNote will appear as a Task in your Outlook.

Click on your Tasks icon at the bottom of your screen.

Go to your OneNote and find items you’d like to appear as Tasks in Outlook. Put your cursor in front of the list item and click Outlook Tasks in the top menu. Choose a default due date or choose Custom.

Once items are flagged, they will appear in Outlook:

You can add a Reminder to complete the task, you can Categorize the task, give it High Importance, or Assign (the) Task to someone else, just to name a few.

Your default view is of your To-Do List in Outlook. Click Tasks for a list view.
